Spyridon Basourakos

Spyridon Basourakos, MD, MS, is a urologic oncologist at University Hospitals and Assistant Professor of Urology at Case Western Reserve University, specializing in open and robotic surgery for prostate, bladder, kidney, penile, and testicular cancers. Born in Athens, Greece, he earned his medical degree from University of Ioannina. He trained at MD Anderson (research fellowship), Weill Cornell (urology residency), and Mayo Clinic (Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship), where he earned a master’s in clinical and translational science. His research has appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine and European Urology. He lives in Cleveland with his wife and children.
